Hello everyone. My weekend was pretty great. We had this little thing in the city you may have heard of...it's called the SUPERBOWL. Yes. The streets were alive with the sound of music.By music I mean screaming fans, cops cars, and some real actual music. It was pretty fucking awesome. I made it down to superbowl village a few times. We saw people ziplining and watched Patti LaBelle perform. There were so many people, but everyone was in such good spirits. I may know why. They let people carry open faced liquor containers in the streets. I almost broke down. I was like *in a whisper* Oh my God all these people have beer. outside. downtown!! SO obviously I had to get a drink ...you know just because I could. We walked around a bit and took pictures and watched street card hustlers. I was in love with all the murals they had painted downtown. The one in the last photo was on an overpass.

Of course I didn't get to go to the actual game because i'm not a crazy baller. But it did all end the way I wanted it to. Smooches Tom Brady, now get the fuck out of my city. The Giants taking that shit made my life. We HATE the Pats here. HATE THEM. I would be afraid to see what would have happened if they had won the bowl in our city. But thankfully we'll never have to know.

I'm definitely a girl that likes to make a statement. I mean there's no such thing as too much sparkle. It's impossible. I have yet to meet a leopard print item I didn't love. Wait..that's a lie. There's some bad leopard print out there. BAD! But when I find something good I must have it. This is why I have multiple leopard scarves and flats. You know, in case of some sort of leopard print drought. Oh and pops of color. You know I'm a bit of a color whore. I'm pretty much dying over that hot pink dress with the slit. She is working the hell out of that. *snaps for the kid*

1. Almond Breeze Almond Coconut Milk- There are no words to how much I love this stuff. I decided on the unsweetened version because I'm trying to cut back on sugar. So I drank this then ate half a box of thin mints. Don't ask. This smells so delicious. It has 45% of your daily calcium, and gives your smoothies and oats coconutty flavor. That's winning.

2. Jane by Design- I love cheesy tv. I admit it. My newest love ABC Family's Jane By Design. It's a show about a high school fashionista who has a double life as a student, and an assistant at a major fashion house. Is it completely a stretch and unlikely.....yes. Am I still watching...yes. I love her " typical edgy guy" best friend. Omg ya'll he has a faux hawk and a pyramid belt. He must be a bad boy! Those are my favorite kind anyway. Overall it's a feel good guilty pleasure kind of show. Basically like everything else ABC Family has ever made. It works for me.

3. Nikon N2000- My new(old) film camera.

4. 8mm iphone app- I downloaded this after looking through some " best photo/video app" lists. It's a video app that allows to film scenes like you're using a vintage camera. There are multiples films and filters you can mix and match. You can even add sound effects. Definitely spices up making videos with your friends. Not those kinds of videos. nasty.

5. Blood Orange Chobani - New chobani flavor!! It may be my favorite yet.

6. Savannah Smiles Girl Scout Cookies - These cookies are so addictive. This box was gone in a day. They are a lemon powdered sugar cookie. They're in a kind or crescent-like shape. So good, so worth hunting down a girl scout.

A little late, but just as good. This past weekend was pretty sweet. I'll update you in list form. I fucking love lists.

Visited the Superbowl Village and saw Patti LaBelle. We walked there and it was bonechillingly cold. I couldn't feel my hands, but it was worth it. Even though the people next to us were clearly drunk/ crackheads. But they were friendly drunks/crackheads.
Watched people zipline down three blocks. It was all well and good until that lady got stuck...with everyone watching.
Midnight grocery run through an empty store. My favorite way to shop.
I found an old Nikon film camera at a thrift store with the flash. AND it works! So excited to start shooting film.
I'm going to participate in this photo challenge. I'm kind of excited.
I finally downloaded hipstamatic. It was on sale for a dolla.
Ate way too much food on saturday/sunday. Kung Pao Scallops, Pina Colada Cheesecake, Chewy Bars, giant boxes of Mike & Ike's.....it was a sugar overload.
Yes those are fried green beans.
Cable tv sucks. There is nothing on. I've seriously watched that Miley Cyrus piano movie like three times. Yes...three times. But mostly because her movie bf's shoulders are about a mile wide. He is built. yowza.

Some more Iphone shots for your viewing pleasure. This weekend we had a snow/ice storm strike so the roads were a little crappy. But this didn't stop me from having lunch with one of my best friends. We talked life, loves, and people who get on our fucking nerves. Ahhh don't you love girlfriends? They lift you up and talk shit with you at the same time. Nothing like it.

Well I got the same ole thing I always get, and it was amazing. I snuck multiple bites of my friends berry cake (in the middle). So delicious. The cake is perfectly sweet, and then you get all the warm berry goodness. Oh and ice cream. You cannot forget the ice cream.

The first pic is of my new favorite breakfast. Oats with tons of berries. I was all "I 'm going to eat healthy all day." Then came the pasta and berry cake. Oh well. It's about balance right? The last pic is of a parking lot oil slick rainbow. I thought it was pretty so I snapped a quick shot. Yes, people did look at me crazy for it. But I'm used to that by now.

Hey guys. I'm almost 3 weeks into a new Project 365. I started on New Year's Eve. It seemed like a pretty appropriate time to start something new. Here are my first 4 shots, all taken with my Iphone and edited with Camera+.

Day 1- The view of Chicago from our sweet hotel room.

Day 2- The New Years Day hangover meal. That day was bad. Oh so bad. My friends forced me to go out and eat. My meal consisted of a dry cornbread muffin, that gumbo I didn't even touch, and 3 chicken fingers. Every bite was torture. And yes, I did stick those crackers in my purse for later.

Day 3- Car shot s we were driving out of the city. The streets were so empty and peaceful.

Day 4- Recuperation time. I was eating fruits/veggies and drinking tons of (matcha) tea and water. You have no idea how much sugar (alcohol) I consumed the previous three days. It was detox time.

Hopefully I can keep up with the project this time. I'll post some of my favorite pics here occasionally, and you can see the group over at my flickr page.

More Food

It seems all I do lately is eat and then take pictures of my food. Or well, take pictures and then eat if you want to be specific. This time I hit up the Bistro at Nordstrom with my best friend from high school. I had never been to their sit down spot before. I am very familiar with the cafe as I used to have a serious Ice Storm addiction. Luckily I've dropped my obsession with creamy shakes, and picked up a love of loaded salads.

My girl called me friday afternoon and we met at the Bistro. The only thing I don't like about it, is that you have to order up front, before you even sit down. It felt a little rushed, and our cashier had a bit of an attitude problem. Actually a serious attitude problem. She snatched my card to swipe it and then practically threw it back at me. I was polite and the restaurant was damn near empty so idk what her deal was. Anyhoo we got seated and waited for our food to arrive. I ordered the Cilantro Lime Shrimp Salad, and my friend ordered a grilled cheese. Luckily our waiter was in a better mood and brought our food quickly and quite happily.

Ok people, this seriously may have been the best salad I have ever eaten. No lie. The dressing was heaven in my mouth. I have a love for cilantro lime anything. Everything was fresh and perfect and I want another one right now. Well sans all that crunchy shit they put on top. Too many damn crunchies. Other than that *ahhhhhhhhhhh*

Everyone knows I'm obsessed with tea. I probably drink a liter and a half of it a day. It's my go to coffee substitute. My favorites have got to be green or black. Matcha was the newest green tea added to my repertoire, and I love it. I actually think I posted about it before. Hmm,definitely a possibility . I got this Matcha Set at Teavana's Heavenly Sale. It came with the tea, a Matcha whisk, and a Matcha bowl. Now I'm all official and shit. I will say the whisk works a million times better than the milk frother I was using before. Look at all those bubbles!!

Hey gang. Hope you had a great weekend. I currently feel like shit. I picked up my boss' cold and I am down for the count. But I thought I'd leave a quick weekend recap here. Let's see....I went to lunch with a friend on friday and spend the rest of the weekend filling myself with various teas and produce. The tea in the middle pic was a sample from Teavana. It was a Youthberry /Orange blossom blend, and it was really good. I especially liked how pink the last bit left in the mug got. The color was gorgeous.

I made a salad too. I figured I could use all the vitamins and antioxidants in my crappy state. Filled this one with a spring mix, red cabbage, radishes, celery, and carrots. Damn tasty if I say so myself. Hopefully It was help me get out of this funk.

I cannot believe I forgot to post the last pics from my Keri weekend!! We went to a cute restaurant called Brugge Brasserie that specializes in mussels. They have lots of variations on the menu. But being a virgin to them, I opted for their tradition french , Provencal, take on them. They were so delicious. They were also way too much. Each order comes with 2 pounds of mussels and a side order of fries. They even had these holes build into the tables so you could stick your cone of fries in them. GENIUS!! I fought like a champ but could not make it to the bottom of the bucket. It's probably a good place to bring a friend and share.

Also awesome are the sauce choices they have for the fries. I think there were about 10 o 12 on the menu, and you get to pick two. I chose a garlic aioli and the sweet chili. They were both pretty tasty. It was a perfect spot to catch up with my girl and try something new.

Hey party people. Hope everyone had an amazing NYE. Mine was out of control. We definitely brought in 2012 on a good note. There were lots of friends, inappropriate dancing, and "spirited" beverages consumed. This is why I'll be detoxing for the week. Water and tea overload. Got to fill the diet with healthy foods because Chick-Fil-A and I had too many romantic encounters over the last 3 days. Soooo many waffle fries.

But in the end it was all worth it. I had an amazing time with some of my best friends. How did you ring in 2012?

Hey gang! Hoping you all had a wonderful holiday with your friends and family. I know I did. It's great to just kick back with the ones you love. What else did I do over the break? Well I cooked...well kind of cooked. I warmed stuff up at least. Omelets were my meal of choice as I had a spinach one every other day. I also suddenly have a love for brown eggs. I have no idea if they are different from regular eggs, you know..besides the brownness. But they are now my preferred egg. I mean, look how well they photograph.

My tea addiction is in full swing and I'm putting fresh black berries on everything. No seriously, fruit goes bad superfast. Blackberry almond mix anyone?

The main thing on my mind now is what the hell I'm going to wear for NYE. Anyone have and suggestions?

Oh yeah there's more food. These are a few dinner pics from this weekend. We went to Bravo's, which is one of my favorite places to eat Italian. Keri didn't think she had been, but then realized she had as we drove up. Oh well, it was ravioli time. We ordered our faves and a couple drinks. It was a Flirtini for me (they were out of watermelon for that martini) and wine for Keri. She's classy and married now, so she drinks wine. I'm single and tacky so hard liquor for me.

I needed that drink too. For the first time ever, my meal was less than perfect. The pasta was really al dente and the sweet potato was kind of hard too. Lucky for them I was so full from the days previous meals that I didn't really mind. But that's a strike for them. Don't let me down again Bravo.

Cocktail Hour

It's cocktail hour everyone!! This past weekend Keri and I decided to make a cocktail featured over at Design Love Fest. It's called a Blue Holiday, and it was delicious. We made a few tweaks though. We added pineapple juice and changed the gin to rum. We aren't big fans of gin. Ok so I actually don't think I've ever had gin, but that wasn't the day to try. The recipe involve making blueberry syrup, which is pretty simple. But it does make you feel all fancy and shit saying that you made it from scratch.

Recipe (from Jen Gotch for Design Love Fest)

for syrup:
• 4 cups of blueberries
• 2 cups of water
• 1 cup of sugar

for the cocktail:
• 2 oz of blueberry syrup
• 2 oz pomegranate juice
• 1 oz gin
• tonic water
• lemon wedge for garnish

All the rest of the recipe is over at the link. She has instructions on how to make the syrup. Make sure you mix the hell out of it because the blueberry mix settles to the bottom. They were a hit with us. Even my mom loved them.

Weekend Review

It was a weekend full of friends and cocktails.

It was a hell of a lot of fun.

One of my best friends from college (KERI!!) descended upon our town and brought her special brand of crazy . We ate so. much. food. It was like someone gave two kids a car and told them to do whatever they wanted. First we want to go shopping, then we want mussels, then pictures, then cupcakes, then Starbucks...yes the day really did go on like this and it was amazing.

We also found a boba tea place, ate Italian, browsed for books, and made cocktails with homemade Blueberry Syrup. We're awesome. I took a million pics so they'll be up on the blog later this week. For now I'll just leave you with this cocktail mixing gif.

To finish off the weekend I finally watched the first episode of 24/7 Flyers/Rangers Road the Winter Classic on Demand, tried goji berries in my tea, and bought yet another pair of slipper boots. They are my achilles heel of shopping. I regret nothing.

Zac Posen is the kind of designer that makes me happy to be a woman. I mean I guess you could wear these if you were a guy. But it would probably require more explanation. These are a handful of looks from Zac Posen's pre-fall 2012 collection. Everything is tailored and fit to perfection. Look at the gowns, they look made for her body. They really make me wish I had an opera, or large red carpet charity event to go to. But alas, I do not. I also fear these looks aren't exactly work appropriate. But that hasn't stopped me before.

Anyhoo the Iphone's portability makes it way easier for me to have a great camera with me all the time. No need to drag the dslr around constantly. Although I am ride or die for Nikon. Basically it's going to be a lot easier for me to attempt Project 365 ...again. (I've attempted it twice already) Here we go...

These are a few of my favorite things. * singing* Okay so that was lame. But tis the season. This is my lust list right now. I'm a little app crazy having recently purchased my first Iphone. Nike Training Club and Words with Friends being two of my favorites. NTC is the shit. Tons of workouts to try based on type and level. Plus there are rewards and bonus workouts you can unlock. It also tracks which ones you do and when. Love. Words with Friends is just fun as hell.

I picked up three last weekend and am super excited to try a new film type from the Impossible Project. This also ties into seven and my new fixation with polaroid books. Everyone needs a good coffee table book. But first you probably need a coffee table.

Cranberry Sauce is my new go to. I want it in, or on top of everything. Basically I really enjoy watching the berries pop in the pan. It amuses me. So I create excuses to use it. Something else I'll find any excuse to eat, Boston Creme Pie Ice Cream. There are no words to express how wonderfully delicious this is. The ice cream is sweet, light, and filled with chocolate pieces and hunks of cake. It's dangerous. As in " you in danger girl". You might eat the entire pint. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Last but not least is The Young Victoria. I love this movie. Whenever I catch it on cable I have to watch. It doesn't matter if it's midway through and I've seen it 28743274835 times, I always have to watch. It's one of those movies..along with Lord of the Rings Return of the King, Forrest Gump, Pride & Prejudice, and The Frog Princess. Don't side eye me. You know you have them too.

Weekend In Review

Another weekend review. It really feels like time is flying by. The weeks have become a blur. I seriously have no idea where the time goes. But I know exactly where it went this weekend. Lunches, thrifting, and power grocery shopping. I say power because I never spend more than 15 minutes in the grocery. I cannot stand it. The people lingering, the screaming kids...I just want to get my apples and get the hell out. I would kill at Supermarket Sweep. But I have mastered my shopping and get the produce and tea and exit the building.

I also went out to lunch and got the salad and Vietnamese Tacos pictured. They were delicious. Cheesecake Factory at its finest. Then I went home and made cranberry sauce for my very berry oats this week...hence the delicious cranberry shot.

I also hit up a few thrift stores and spent way too much time watching a Man Shops Globe marathon on Sundance.

Weekend in Review Too

So the weekend review is a little late. Probably because nothing really happened this weekend, well besides eating. Oh I went back to the gym for the first time in 6 months. It was fine. I just pretended not to notice all those " Damn girl, where have YOU been" looks. Because they were looking. But it felt good and I think I 'm back in the groove again. It's about damn time. The last 6 months have a been a stress filled, candy coated mess. Oh and I have the baggage (pounds) to prove it. So I had to say farewell to the cheeseburgers and drinks at noon ( on the weekend), and hello to the salads, lean meats and roasted veggies.

One of my favorite things to do now is to prep breakfast for work in advance. I'll make a big pot of steel cut oats that'll last for a few days. My new mix is very berry. I added frozen blueberries and homemade cranberry sauce to the oats. It is amazing! You should definitely try it out. I'd leave a recipe, but literally all you do is add blueberries and the sauce to the cooked oats. Don't forget to stir. Look at you chef * insert name here*, being all culinary and shit. *slow claps* Good for you.

A couple more shots from my first pack of PX680 color film from the Impossible Project. I'm really loving the color tones in the images. They have a certain vintage-y feel. I'm not sure how much of that is the film, and how much is your exposure/lighting choices when taking the pictures. But whatever it is, I love it.

I took these during a photoshoot with Ellisa and Eden for their C.O.R.E website. The first was one site, and the second was outside of the pub I was telling you all about. I was afraid to take that pic because there were people eating right inside that window. I didn't want them to think I was some crazy trying to photograph them. So I did want any normal person would do. I ran to take the pic, and then jetted out like a thief in the night. That's how I roll.

Oh and I've been spending time playing around with my tablet that just arrived. Hence the doodles on the pictures. It may be love people. It may be love.

Red Light Special

No, not that red light special.

Who doesn't love pub food and a good drink? After an afternoon shooting in the harsh sunlight and blasting winds we made our way downtown. We hit an artsy little neighborhood looking for a place to eat. Eden/her stomach decided this shady looking little pub was the best option. I gave major side eye, but it ended up being a sweet little spot. We even got to sit by an outlet so I could charge my nikon battery!

The food was really good. There are no pics because we smashed in a matter of minutes. But we ordered tuna melts, fajita wraps, and a bowl of soup. Then there were the drinks. What's better than a Jack & diet and few rounds of beer with the girls. Nothing? Nothing at all. Well drinks with the girls + an awesome red cast from neon signs is even better. That's where the red glow in all these pictures came from. I'm really in love with the mood they give the shots.

It was the perfect ending to a hilarious day.

Here it is. My totally non-exciting black friday pick-up list. I'm actually excited about the deals I got though. I bought the four back of polaroid film $75 , which is a steal. The memory cards and dvds came via Target. I had to go to multiple stores actually. Because the first ones line was so long I just put my shit down and walked out. I don't do craz-o lines. no no. sorry. So I tried another one and only waited 5 minutes. I picked up 3 memory cards, Bones, and Supernatural for around $50. Holla!! The Gap stuff I bought online thursday because there was an additional 20% off. Don't side eye me, I love slipper booties. Love them. I will shout that love from the toasty toed rooftops. They are everything. And that cardigan is sparkly , so I had to have it obviously. The Tablet and battery I got on Amazon. They weren't on special sale pricing, but the prices had dropped. You know how the prices on Amazon fluctuate based on how often they are bought. So when the tablet price dropped $20 I jumped on it. Oh and I just really needed that battery. They are hard to come by since they discontinued my camera model.

I did hit a couple malls too, but didn't buy anything. They were crazy, crazy packed. You know like day before Christmas crowded. There were a million teenagers, women with strollers, and people in their pj's. It really not that late. And if it was to you, you should have stayed in bed. But I was not into fighting crowds at Macy's or in Vicky's for some cheap ass panties. So I made my way to the exit.

Weekend Review

Let me start off by saying this is going to be a weak ass review. Sorry. I'm tired as hell. Thanksgiving was lovely, and I had a serious carb fest. It was all macaroni and mashed potatoes all the time. I honestly don't eat them any other time of year. It was great to see the fam and talk about plans and ipad purchases.

I went out Black Friday and it was a fucking zoo. Crazy town. Lines around entire stores (TARGET) I like the midnight openings, but I don't like the huge crowds they draw. I guess I'll just have to take one for the economy. I'll post my purchases later this week.

The rest of the weekend was spent taking photos of the two lovelies above for their website and soon to come facebook ads. Then the following day was editing all the pics and doing some add ons in photoshop. Basically it was a day in front of the computer. These are a few outtakes that I thought were cute. It's my best and her older sister. And no, I cannot tell you what kind of animal she was trying to portray. We just went with it.

But it didn't stop me from admiring/loving this shopbop Flashy Pants lookbook. I love pants being the statement piece. More of the pics from this weekends experiment. All you need is some milk and food coloring. I tried all the basic colors....yellow, red, green, blue, but I liked the red-blue combo the best. It's the most dramatic. Also I used whole milk. I have no idea if that makes a difference, I'm just going to put it out there.

I really liked the results. It was fun to try out different things and placements. Oh also, add a drop of liquid soap if you want it to go all crazy. It will go all crazy. I did all of my dye milk mixing on a dinner plate by a window. There was also a bucket nearby to dump all the gross gray milk.

So if you have a little extra time on your hands you may want to try this out and see what results you can get.

So I've been having major fun with the new Iphone. I immediately downloaded the Camera + and Instagram photo apps. There are so many cool features and filter options. AHHHH having a photog geek moment... you'll have to excuse me. Ok..I'm back. Camera + is definitely my favorite so far. You can adjust the picture for different settings like sunsets, portraits, even shots. You can also alter the clarity, white balance, rotate pictures, and add borders. Then there are the filter options..tons of options. I definitely recommend it it you have an Iphone. It's currently on sale for $0.99.

Weekend Review

How was your weekend? Mine was pretty nice. Getting tipsy at 3pm at Cheeseburger in Paradise. My friend knows the bartender. I swear those were the best jack and diets ever. Seriously, sometimes they don't taste right. But these were perfect after eating a semi burnt burger with gouda at Houlihans. I loved Houlihans when they first opened this location, but now they are falling off. My food was semi burnt, and my friends was lukewarm. I guess it can't be great all the time?

Besides that I bought Apple care + for my iphone, helped my mom rake leaves, and did an experimental photoshoot. The lovely swirls you see above are my handiwork. They'll be a post sometime later this week. It was really fun playing around to get different patterns. Too fun actually, I was hunched over for 2 hours. I'm currently curled up with a heating pad sipping on a chai tea latte. May or may not be watching The Young Victoria for the sixth millionth time. But don't tell anyone. Actually tell everyone. I'm addicted to period pieces and I am not ashamed!!!! Now where's Pride and Prejudice damnit!

An Ode

Ok so this isn't actually going to be an ode. I don't have time for that shit. But, this is going to be a different kind of post. I was trying to come up with a weekend recap for this past weekend , and I literally could not remember anything I did. Well, anything besides finally seeing What's Your Number. You know this movie.....

Now was it the best movie ever, no. Was it super predictable and a little corny at times, yes. Did I spend 45 minutes trying to figure out why Anna Faris' face looks strange and joker-y, yes.(botox) But it had a sort of charm, and something much more important to its success in my opinion. It had approximately 983,578,435 shots of Chris Evans shirtless or nearly naked. You know, Captain America guy. He looks kind of scary huge and hairless in Captain, which freaked me out a bit. But he looks perfect in here. PERFECT. Yes, the caps were necessary. He plays this struggling musician type that has a lot of one night stands. This required him to be undressed for a large portion of the film. Covered only by a newspaper, guitar, Willy Wonka Oompa Loompa..you get the gist. It basically caused me to develop a crazy huge crush on him, and a need to get to the gym immediately.

I finally got the balls to test out my first pack of Impossible Project Polaroid Film. I was originally afraid because I'm using a polaroid I found at a Goodwill for 5 bucks. I wasn't completely sure it worked. That, and the fact I could possibly ruin a $25 box of film had me a little scared. But I went for it and here are the results.

The first pic is of my best friend on our Crepe eating date. The second is just a sky shot from my backyard. I really love the dreamy, vintage-y look of the photos. I think I need to do a little more research on tips and tricks to optimize my shots. I have no idea what's with the red orangey-ness in the first shot. But overall I'm liking the feel. I really can't wait to try out the Silver Shade UV film.

Hey All. Back to to grind it out for another week. Today is going to be a serious test for me, I'm exhausted. Here's why.

* I took friday off but spent the day blogging and copying my photoshop notes. I'm so exciting. Friday afternoon I went to have a BLT crepe with my Best, and discuss everything that's wrong with the world and/or people and /or men. Then we brought the tired party home where we talked more, did handcuff tricks, and studied DIY bracelets.

* Saturday I finally got on the damn iphone list. I went early as hell and was in and out in 15 minutes. Now all I have to do is wait 21-28 days. Ugh. But at least that will give me time to finally make a decision about a case. Then my mom and I took a trip to the local thrift stores to look for cameras. I copped a new, well old polaroid for 5 bucks and rushed home to test it. Success!! I had time to brew a cup of tea before my friend called about going to lunch. We hit up a local soul food spot with another friend and her baby. GORGEOUS BABY. Next up a casual stroll around the mall to walk off the 15 pounds each of us gained from lunch. The stroll may have ended at dairy Queen with a dipped cone. You know...maybe.

* Saturday night I went to a "toy" party and nearly died of laughter. The Cosmos and Martinis were flowing, an no one besides me could handle their liquor. Shit had me dying. There was way too much going on. After the party I threw on my Halloween costume, cop as always, and went to all the club spots. Yeah..all of them. The first spot had wayyyy too many poeple. It's the college hangout so there were lines down the block. So we left there and headed downtown...which was completely dead. Ghost town. On to location three which was just right I guess. I'm not really sure when this turned into Goldilocks but we trudge on. After waiting 30 minutes in the freezing, bone-chattering cold we get to the front only to hear it's no longer free as advertised. Well shit. after freezing to near death I would have paid anything to get inside anywhere, so in we went.

* Foolishness The club was packed. Sardine packed. We fought our way through the crowd to find our friends then danced for about 3 seconds when they cut the music off. Costume party time. I'm make this brief by telling you the first contestants were a light skinned 85- pound Lil Wayne, and a Nicki Minaj whose eyes were slits from the 1o283214o3 pounds of makeup she piled on. * deep sighs* The whole night was a complete mess, and that was before the fights broke out.

* Sunday am After the tragedy that was the club I decided I might as well get my grocery shopping done before I went home. Yes it was 3:30 am. What's your point? I flew through the aisles like a bat out of hell as I filled my cart with produce and yogurt. No people no lines...I loved it. Then it was home and to bed.

Later Sunday am I woke up about 7am and made tea. My friend woke up a couple of hours later and we went to breakfast with the mommy and baby again. We went to Cracker Barrel which was serious error in judgement. So many people and they couldn't pronounce our name right so we missed our first call out. By the time we actually got to eat I devoured 3 blueberry pancakes, a biscuit, and half a slice of my friends french toast. It was serious business. Followed that up with a trip to the discount bookstore. Nordstrom Rack, and Cheesecake Factory. I was wiped. Went home and crashed for 3 hours before leaving AGAIN o fix my uncle's tv.

So please excuse any typos, grammatical errors, or my hair if you see me. No get the fuck out my way, you're blocking the coffee.

This is the random photo post for the week. Things I shot because I felt like shooting them.

First up the hexagonal washer bracelet. I know you've seen this DIY. It's all over the interwebs. Oh you haven't? Well here's a little linksy for you. It's really super easy. I used brass/silver hex washers and suede cord. I think I had some twine for the second one. The hardest part of this was finding the shit in Lowe's. Seriously, could that place be any bigger? It feels like there's a mile to the ceiling. I'll be avoiding it at all costs thankyouverymuch.

The last two pics I took on my way to the grocery. I was all " Damn the sky looks gorgeous". So I pulled over and took a few shots. The shot from the street was better, but I voted against endangering people's lives and shooting in traffic. See I care for the people. Just not the stupid ones.

So I think I decided to get the Iphone 4s as an upgrade to my dying Blackberry. Of course I was very nonchalant about it and thought I could wait until it was in stores. Wrong. * Had a used camera hunt, and found a perfectly good old polaroid for 4 bucks.

*Got giddy at the sight of Vitatops marked on clearance for $0.99. HEY HEY HEY

* Tried to buy an Iphone. That didn't work out. Sold out all across the state apparently.

* Made that DIY chevron washer bracelet that's all around Pinterest. Post on that later.

* Went to Lowe's to get the previously mentioned washers...was extremely awkward looking and confused. Never go to Lowe's wearing leather and a leopard scarf. You'll get stares.

*Got organized!! It was about damn time.

* The weekend ended with lots of tea and chat time with my mom.
